Cowboy Music and Poetry Return to Colorado’s Vega State Park
If you’ve never dug in to good cowboy poetry, you’re missin’
the boat. Here’s word of a celebration in Colorado of America’s
cowboy creativity, including music and a roster of cowboy
COLLBRAN, Colo. – Vega State Park will
celebrate our cowboy heritage with music and poetry on Saturday,
August. 6, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Aspen Grove Group Picnic
Area. The Salt Creek Gang, the Dennisons Family Band and the
Crystal Crackers will entertain the audience with great music.
Creative poets performing will include: Terry Nash, Dan Spade, Bob
Archer, Nona Carver and many others.
The event is free with a $7 daily Vega State Park pass or a $70
annual pass. Come early and enjoy a Stick Horse Rodeo and other fun
youth activities, which start at 2 p.m. in the Early Settlers
Campground Playground. Or spend the day at the park, enjoying the
wildflowers, wildlife and the historic agriculture equipment
surrounding Vega State Park. Fishing, hiking and biking are always
available as well.
