SD: GFP and Cabelas partnering on boating safety

MITCHELL, S.D. – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks
Department will partner with Cabelas stores in Mitchell and Rapid
City to promote boating safety as part of National Safe Boating
Week.

Both events will run on Saturday, May 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. local time.

National Boating Safety Week, May 21-27, is sponsored by the
National Safe Boating Council to promote safe recreational
boating.

Weather permitting, a booth will be set up outside the stores for
GFP conservation officers to demonstrate inflatable personal
flotation devices, answer questions about boating, and conduct boat
safety inspections for anyone bringing a boat.

The Cabelas store in Mitchell is located at 601 Cabela Drive,
and the store in Rapid City is located at 3231 East Mall
Drive.
