Monster Wild Brown Trout Caught in Southeast Minnesota

This big fat brown trout was caught on the opening day of
Minnesota trout fishing, out of Duschee Creek, essentially in the
town of Lanesboro. Unofficially 30 inches long and about 12 pounds,
the monster creek predator was caught on a red worm.

According to Steve Koltz, area fisheries manager, the fish is
likely a wild fish, rather than one born in a hatchery and later
stocked in the stream.

Word is that the fish will be mounted.
