Public invited to events to discuss deer management
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will host two Public
Open Houses in Northern Utah on April 14 in Cache Valley and April
21 in South Ogden. Wildlife and habitat biologists from the
Division’s Northern Region will be on hand at these events to
gather input from the public and to share their experiences in
leading deer recovery efforts.
Some of the topics of growing interest will include: predator
management, deer population recovery efforts, habitat loss, highway
mortality, depredation and unit by unit hunting strategies.
These open house meetings are being held to give people
interested in deer and deer hunting a chance to talk directly with
biologists to give input and better understand the complexities of
The Logan open house will held at the Cache Valley Hunter
Education Center located at 2851 West 200 North in Logan. The Ogden
open house will be held at the South Ogden City Community Facility
located at 3950 South Adams Avenue in South Ogden. Both open houses
will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
