RALEIGH, N.C. (March 30, 2011) – The N.C. Wildlife Resources
Commission has completed renovations on the Red Hill Boating Access
Area on the Pee Dee River.
The site, off N.C. 109 just north of Wadesboro, has a new ramp,
along with improved parking and ADA accessibility.
“We made major improvements to this popular fishing spot on the
Pee Dee, and we think boaters across the state will be pleased,”
said Erik Christofferson, chief of the Commission’s Division of
Engineering Services. “One of our Division’s goals is to give
boaters increased, more convenient access to the waters of North
Carolina, and improvements to this site fit right in with that
goal. It will be a definite asset to the area.”
