Cadiz, Ohio – A Massillon man who shot a black bear in November
won’t face charges, prosecutors say.

the unnamed individual, saying he apparently acted in self

“It appears to be a situation where the bear was running through
the woods … It (shot) indicated the bear was coming right toward
him,” assistant county prosecutor Michael Washington told The
Repository of Canton. “It was a straight on shot to the head.”
