NJ bear hunt sets record for first 3 days

As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, New Jersey hunters had checked a record 426 black bears in the first Garden State bear hunt since 2005. The NJ Department of Environmental Protection is expecting the number to climb as high as 1,000 for the 7,800 permits.
