PF&BC holding family fishing program at Rose Lake

Bellefonte, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is
sponsoring a free educational Family Fishing Program for families
on Saturday, August 14 at Rose Valley Lake in Lycoming County.

The program will run from 12 p.m. to 4:p.m. Participants are to
meet at the South Access. The program is open to families with
children ages 8 – 15 years old. A parent or guardian must accompany
children to this event. The agency provide the fishing

The program will include a welcome and introduction, and
presentations regarding SMART fishing, regulations, licenses, where
to go, equipment, knots, rigging and baiting, casting skills, and a

Reservations are required for this event. Please contact the
Regional Education Specialist at 814-359-5127 to register by
Friday, August 13. Call between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. This
event is limited to 50 people. No fishing license is needed for
this event.
