Hunter Safety Instructor cited for deer violations

An Illinois Master hunter Safety Instructor for the DNR was
issued a number of citations for wildlife and criminal charges late
last week, according to DNR law enforcement.

Edward “Wayne” Pratt and Mary “Buffy” Pratt, both of Beardstown
were given four citations for unlawful loaning of deer permits to
another and four citations for unlawful falsification of records on
deer harvest.

According to reports, the charges involve illegally taken deer
in Cass County.

Edward Pratt is a Master hunter Safety Instructor for the
DNR.

All of the citations issued are Class A misdemeanor violations
which carry a maximum fine of $2,500 and up ton one year in jail.
Additional charges pending, DNR advised.
