Concord, N.H. (AP) – Hunters killed 341 moose in New Hampshire’s
nine-day moose hunting season.
Fish and Game officials are calling the season a success, since
65 percent of the 522 hunters who were issued permits took home a
moose. Fish and Game says more than half the animals killed this
year were males.
This year’s tally is almost identical to last year, when 333
moose killed.
More than 14,500 people entered this year’s lottery to win a
permit. The season ended Sunday.
