Spring Park, Minn. (AP) – The Hennepin County Sheriff Foundation
is hosting an event Wednesday that’s designed to get kids hooked on
fishing, not drugs.
The program is a national effort sponsored by the U.S.
Department of Justice with support from Boys and Girls Clubs across
The goal is to have local law enforcement teach kids how to
fish, as well as reinforce positive life skills.
Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek says deputies and
professional bass anglers can be positive role models for kids. He
