Wis. DNR plans youth deer-hunt workshop

Necedah, Wis. (AP) – Wisconsin youths interested in learning how to hunt deer have a deadline coming up. New chairman chosen for NC Wildlife Commission

Raleigh, N.C. (AP) – A Wilmington businessman has been elected chairman of the North Carolina Wildlife Commission. The agency said Wednesday that Steve Windham of Winnabow was elected to replace Wes Seegars, who had been chairman since 2006. Windham was one of five commissioners reappointed by Gov. Minnesota’s breeding duck population takes a dive

St. Paul, Minn. (AP) – Minnesota’s duck population has taken a dive. The Department of Natural Resources says the state’s breeding duck population has dropped to an estimated 507,000 birds.
