Mille Lacs tribal harvest tops 100,000 pounds of walleyes

Aitkin, Minn. – Tribal netters from two Minnesota and six Wisconsin bands of Ojibwe topped 100,000 pounds of walleyes from Minnesota’s Lake Mille Lacs this spring, according to Pat Schmalz, the Minnesota DNR 1837 Treaty biologist in Aitkin.
