Commissioner: Let’s back up on crossbows in bow season

Harrisburg – Just when you thought the
crossbows-in-archery-season blaze had finally died down, gasoline
was abruptly thrown on the fire.

As expected, Pennsylvania game commissioners, at their April
meeting, gave final approval to a minor modification in regulations
allowing expanded use of crossbows. The change will allow hunters
to use magnifying scopes on the weapons during the archery deer and
archery bear seasons.
