Trout are hitting on Devils Lake, and anglers are catching walleyes on Lake Wisconsin, mostly by jigging in the channel or by trolling Rapalas. Salmon in Lake Michigan are into the staging process now, and spawning adults are starting to enter the Kewaunee and Ahnapee rivers. This has increased the pier fishing action in Kewaunee and Algoma. There are good days and bad days, but salmon and brown trout steadily have been caught off the piers this past week.
In Oconto County, bluegills are still providing lots of fun at the Stiles dam on leaf worms and slip bobbers. The walleye bite off of the reefs in Green Bay has continued to be rewarding.
