Bass fishing is beginning to heat up on Lower Saranac Lake.
Typically, Gary Yamamoto Senko worms work great for bass.

Northern pike are very active on Lower and Upper Saranac Lake,
as well as Tupper Lake, according to reports from Blue Line Sport
Shop and The Red Roof Inn. Pike have now moved into to the weedy
areas and are hitting on large spoons and large Rapalas.

Walleye are hitting in Franklin Falls on night crawlers. Anglers
are reminded that there a consumption advisory for the walleye
there – eat none, DEC says.

Rainbow trout are hitting in Lake Colby. Anglers are reporting
rainbows to be about 25 yards off shore from the boat launch.
Trolling Lake Clear Wabblers continues to be the best
technique.

Lake Champlain fishing continues to be good. Landlocks have been
caught between the Crown Point Bridge and Westport. Anglers have
had luck with lake trout between Essex and Willsboro.

Water temperatures in the West Branch of the Ausable River have
been holding in the lower 60s.
