Pickford Area

Walleye fishing has been good in Munuscong Bay and Raber Bay.
Anglers are trolling with crawler harnesses and casting or drifting
jigs tipped with crawlers. Perch fishing is starting to improve.
Anglers report a good herring bite off Cedarville and Hessel in
Lake Huron.

Grand Marais Area

Trout anglers are catching fair numbers of rainbows in the
Two-Hearted River. Whitefish and menominee are hitting at the mouth
of the river. Anglers fishing in the surf on Lake Superior with
single salmon eggs or wax worms report catching fair numbers of

Garden Area

Walleye fishing has been good in Lake Michigan’s Big Bay de Noc.
Anglers trolling crankbaits and nightcrawler harnesses in 8 to 10
feet of water report a decent bite, mainly just before dark.
Smallmouth bass fishing has been good throughout the bay.

Marquette Area

Trout and salmon fishing has been hit or miss in Lake Superior.
For those reporting success, the best action has been at Stannard
Rock, off Shot Point, and at Granite Island.

Escanaba Area

Walleye fishing has been good on Lake Michigan’s Little Bay de
Noc. Anglers trolling and drifting crawlers in 8 to 14 feet of
water report good action. Perch fishing is improving and anglers
are dialing in on a good bite in 25 feet of water off Gladstone.
Anglers casting cranks, spinners, and topwater baits are catching
smallmouth bass throughout the bay.

Menominee Area

Bass fishing has been good on the lower end of the Menominee
River, but a lot of sub-legal fish are being caught. Walleye
fishing has been good at the dam.

Keweenaw Peninsula

A few walleyes are hitting crawlers and jigs on Gratiot Lake
along the weed edges. On Lac La Belle, walleye anglers are fishing
crawlers under slip-bobbers over the rocks. Lake trout action is
improving on Lake Superior.
