Susquehanna, Chenango, Tioughnioga and Unadilla rivers: Channel catfish are hitting cut bait and chicken liver, with the best action taking place just before dark. Whitney Point Reservoir: Work is still taking place on the launch ramp in Dorchester Park and the ramp is closed so there’s little fishing activity to report.
Waiting is still the word of the day. The bay was still locked in with ice last week, but north of Houghton Point the water is open. There have been a few small boats out off the Sioux, conditions permitting. Red Cliff and Bayfield harbors are now open with a few boat anglers doing well.
