Finger Lakes/Central NY

Seneca Lake: Perch fishing continues to be good for anglers
fishing off the fishing pier with small minnows. Anglers that are
getting out in boats are catching good numbers of perch, along with
a few brown trout in 30 feet of water on minnows. Some trout were
also being caught on stick baits fished very slowly on the
surface.

Hemlock/Canadice lakes: Smelt were hitting gold hooks tipped
with mousies in both lakes. Not sure at this point what ice
conditions may be, however.

Cayuga Lake: Brown trout fishing continues to be excellent for
anglers fishing around AES (formally Milleken Station). Fishing
minnows under floats is producing the most consistent action.
Anglers are catching good numbers of browns and salmon trolling
stick baits around Taughannock Point.

Skaneateles Lake: Fishing from shore with marshmallow/worm rigs
is still producing good action for rainbow trout, along with the
occasional landlocked salmon.

Otisco Lake: Panfishing had been fair on the north end with
bluegills, pumpkinseed sunfish and an occasional black crappie
being caught on small jigs tipped with spikes. Not sure if ice
conditions are holding.
