Trout anglers are pretty much homebound unless we get a real
warming trend, although that may bring high water conditions. Only
the no-kill stretches of the Beaverkill, Willowemoc and West Branch
of the Delaware are open now, along with the main stem of the
Delaware. Anglers can get a trout-fishing fix Feb. 9 at FLY Fest
’08, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4p.m. at the Catskill Fly Fishing
Center and Museum.
On the hard-water front, anglers have been on several area
waters, notably Superior, Morningside, Wolf, Masten, Louise and
Wanasink. Not a great deal to report as far as success,
however.
