Reaction to tribal agreement is mixed

By Bill Parker Editor Lake Orion, Mich. – Reaction from Michigan’s outdoors community has been mixed about the tentative agreement on tribal inland hunting, fishing, and gathering rights. Earlier this month, five Michigan-based American Indian tribes and the federal and state governments reached a tentative agreement, which acknowledges some tribal hunting, fishing, and gathering rights.
