To help encourage citizens to come forward with information
about the incident, the Minnesota Parks and Trails Council has
offered $2,500, to be matched by another group or individuals, as a
reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of
those responsible for the crime.
The historic rock formation known as the Devil’s Chair, which
sat atop the craggy cliffs along the St. Croix River, was toppled
off its rocky pinnacle earlier this month. The public is asked to
call the Chisago County Sheriff’s Department at (651) 257-4100 with
any information about the case.
