St. Paul The Minnesota DNR announced last week that a partial lifting of the open burning restrictions would occur May 1.

Restrictions are being removed since green-up of the fire fuels is occurring and wildfire conditions are easing. The counties of Benton, Carver, Dakota, Douglas, Grant, Hennepin, Pope, Ramsey, Scott, Stearns, Stevens, Washington, and Wright had restrictions removed.
