Minneapolis — The 73rd Annual Northwest Sportshow continues through this weekend at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The show this year runs six days. It began Tuesday and runs through Sunday, April 3.

The Northwest Sportshow this year is nearly 400,000 square feet filled with the latest in boating, fishing, hunting, camping, and vacationing. There is a full lineup of seminars, as well as the International Wolf Center exhibit, the Youth Wood Duck Project, and an antique fishing tackle display. Show hours this year are 2-10 p.m. on

Bloomington, Minn. — The Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo kicks off its three-day event this weekend at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, Minneapolis South. The expo runs April 1-3.

The expo will feature the largest gathering of fly-fishing experts and teachers in the Midwest, including Dave and Emily Whitlock, Mike Lawson, and Annette McLean. There also will be more than 120 fly-fishing, watercraft, travel industry, and conservation exhibits at the expo. Show hours are 2:30-7 p.m. on Friday, April 1; 9 a.m. to 5
