St. Paul The DNR has hired Bill Penning as the Division of Fish and Wildlife’s farmland wildlife coordinator. Penning has worked in several capacities at the DNR, as well as the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Scott County.

Penning holds bachelor’s degrees in biology and anthropology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a master’s degree in wildlife conservation from the University of Minnesota where he studied the common tern in western Lake Superior.
