St. Paul Conservation-minded motorists have driven proceeds from the sale of Critical Habitat License Plates over the $10 million mark. More than 100,000 loon and deer license plates are traveling Minnesota’s roads and highways.

Proceeds from the $30 annual contribution are helping protect and manage critical habitat across the state. License plate dollars have so far purchased more than 3,100 acres of critical lands, like islands and lakeshore. Some of the acres have been established as wildlife management areas.
