Wahkon, Minn. A fund-raiser for Proper Economic Resource Management (PERM) will take place May 2 at Wahkon Inn in Wahkon, Minn., near Lake Mille Lacs. The fund-raiser begins at 11:30 a.m.

The event will include an informational meeting and a pig and turkey roast, along with a silent auction, raffle, and live auction. Guest speakers include DNR Commissioner Gene Merriam, DNR Deputy Commissioner Mark Holsten, and DNR Director of Fish and Wildlife John Guenther. Tickets are $10. The nonresident deer license application and information is available on the Iowa DNR’s website at www.iowadnr.com/wildlife. There are 6,000 nonresident any-deer licenses available that are divided among 10 zones and 2,500 nonresident antlerless deer-only tags.
