Madison, Wis. The daily bag limits have been revised on 286 lakes in the Wisconsin Ceded Territory in response to harvest declarations made by six bands of Chippewa in Wisconsin, the state DNR announced. These bag limits are effective between May 1, 2004

The revised bag limits are available on the Wisconsin DNR web site (www.dnr.state.wi.us) and are being published as an insert to the state’s fishing guide. Lakes usually have signs at accesses regarding special regulations, as well. Wisconsin is entering its 20th year of the joint tribal and recreational fishery agreement.
