Grand Rapids, Minn. Minnesota DNR Deputy Commissioner Mark Holsten announced the appointment of Chuck Spoden as the acting regional director for the DNR’s Northeast Region, which covers nine northeastern counties.

Spoden comes to the job with 35 years experience in the DNR, most recently serving 12 years as regional forest manager in Grand Rapids. He also has worked as a forester in Aitkin and Littlefork. Spoden can be reached at the DNR regional headquarters at (218) 327-4455.
