St. Paul In an effort to increase the number of firearm safety classes in the Twin Cities metro area, the DNR will host a training program for volunteer instructors on May 12, according to Don Slinger, regional training officer for the DNR’s Division of

“With this training, you’ll be able to conduct firearm safety
classes in your area,” he said. “If possible, bring a friend or two
who are willing to help you.”

The training session will be held at the Hancock Recreation
Center, 1610 Hubbard Ave., in St. Paul, from 6-10 p.m. Instructor
training is free and you must be 18 or older. For more information,
