Madison Sportsmen are reminded that most DNR licenses expire on
Monday, March 31. Anyone over the age of 16 who is fishing on April
1 will need a new license, which were to have become available at
DNR offices and retail outlets on March 10. There is no license fee
increase associated with this year’s purchase, except for sturgeon
spearers, who will now pay $20 for a resident tag (up from $10).
Also, sturgeon spearing is no longer included in the patron
license. One other privilege removed from the patron license for
2003 is the sharp-tailed grouse application.
