Grand Rapids, Minn. After recently announcing the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association’s first-ever “Name the Print of the Year Contest” in Outdoor News, a winner has been selected from more than 200 entries. The painting appeared on the cover of ON’s Nov.
All entries that were submitted to MDHA were passed along to
this year’s MDHA Print of the Year artist, Robert Hautman, who then
made the final selection for the name of his print.
The winner this year was Dodie Logue, of Delano, who submitted
the name, “Autumn Shadows” for the print. Although Logue wasn’t the
only entry to submit this name, hers was the first to be entered at
the state office. She will receive a framed “mini-print” for the
winning entry. The print will be available from the MDHA office
some time after Jan. 1. To order it, call (800) 450-3337, ext. 17,
