St. Paul Outdoorsmen and women are reminded the Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Alliance will host the candidates for governor and U.S. Senate in this fall’s election at its Candidate Breakfast Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 15 beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Kelly Inn

The format for the forum will be a panel discussion with a moderator. There also will be a period for questions from the audience. The cost per person is $10. Seating is limited. If you’d like to attend, call the MOHA office at (763) 566-6098 to register.

Milaca, Minn. The central Minnesota wildlife management area where a 24-year-old University of Minnesota wildlife researcher was attacked by a black bear on Sept. 15 has reopened for public use.

Minnesota DNR officials closed the Four Brooks WMA, located 15 miles north of Milaca, shortly after the bear attack on researcher Miles Becker to minimize disturbance while they tried to track the animal.
