Minneapolis Authorities recovered a body from the Mississippi River last week they presumed to be that of a man missing since a boat capsized two days earlier.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department said the body believed
to be Charles Maddox, 25, of Minneapolis, was found about a mile
from the accident site. Maddox was one of three men aboard a
14-foot boat when it capsized as the swift current swept it into
barges moored in north Minneapolis.

Michael Saless, 24, of Minneapolis, and Justin Gordon, 24, of
Fridley, made it to shore safely. Saless told investigators he was
wearing a life jacket, but his friends were not.
