Brainerd, Minn. Minnesota anglers are reminded that there will be a new fishing regulation in effect for Big Rabbit Lake and East Big Rabbit Lake near Cuyuna beginning on the fishing opener, May 11, for northern pike.

The experimental regulation will require that all pike 24 inches and larger be immediately returned to the water. The regulation is intended to reduce the harvest of medium-sized and larger pike, increase the size structure of pike, and promote the recovery of perch, walleye, and largemouth bass.
