Moose Lake, Minn. A summer-long project at Moose Lake State Park gets under way April 6 when officials break ground for a new interpretive center.

Don DelGreco, manager of the park, said ceremonies will begin at
11 a.m. and signal the beginning of construction of the Moose Lake
Agate/Geological Center. The 4,500-square foot center will include
interpretive displays, a nature store gift shop and an exhibition
hall that will showcase Minnesota’s gemstone, the agate.

Visitors coming north on I-35 take exit 214 and go east on
County Road 137. For more information, call the park at (218)
