Des Moines The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is stepping up its tracking of chronic wasting disease after wild deer in Nebraska, South Dakota, and now Wisconsin, were found to have the disease.

Biologists in Iowa have begun an extensive research project to provide more information about the brain disease that’s always fatal in deer and elk.
