A former warehouse in the city’s industrial park and acreage
next to it were purchased for $1.2 million. Remodeling and new
construction will cost another $2 million. The funding comes from
bonding money authorized by the state Legislature during the 2000
session. The new facility will accommodate about 30 full-time and
10 seasonal DNR workers from six DNR divisions.
