Zimmerman, Minn. An 18-year-old man died when the snowmobile he was riding plunged through thin ice on a frozen lake in central Minnesota.

Tyler Nelson was snowmobiling on Lake Fremont with a friend when he went through the ice. Justin Birkholtz, 20, rode his snowmobile across the ice to a residence on the lake and got a rowboat, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Department.
