Grand Rapids, Minn. Following the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association’s announcement that it wouldn’t be distributing deer tag straps this year, except to its members, the Wildlife Research Center has announced a contribution making it possible for MDHA t

The straps are needed to affix the tags hunters are required to place on their harvested deer. The straps currently are being distributed at retail locations where MDHA “Hides for Habitat” drop boxes are located. WRC co-founder/co-owner John Burgeson hopes having the tags available at those locations encourages hunters to later donate their deer hides
