Montevideo, Minn. Hunters wishing to reserve a goose hunting station in the controlled hunting zone at Lac qui Parle Management Area are reminded to submit their applications by Sept. 12, when the DNR will cease accepting applications.
The season at LqP has been extended to 40 days (versus 30 in
past years) and will run Saturday, Oct. 5 through Wednesday, Nov.
14, or earlier if the harvest index of 12,000 geese is reached
before Nov. 14.
Hunters should apply on a 31/2-inch by 51/2-inch postcard.
Include your name and address, along with first, second, and third
choices for hunting dates. Also indicate if you’ll accept other
dates if the first three choices are unavailable.
