Pierre, S.D. A Mitchell, S.D. archer has set a new unrestricted largemouth buffalo fish state record. Unrestricted means the fish was taken by means other than hook and line.

Chris Buckley shot the 42-pound, 8 ounce, 38-inch fish in Lake Mitchell with bow and arrow on April 27. The old record was set by archery in 1990.
