Late last week, while heading east on Minnesota Hwy. 7 on a
return trip from a western Minnesota varmint hunt, I spotted three
coyotes walking along a creek bed a mile or so off the road near
Mayer, north of Waconia.
These coyotes were feeding and paying little attention to their
surroundings as they followed the natural creek bed.
My hunting plan formed quickly: head them off in the direction
