Owatonna, Minn. The Steele County Chapter of Minnesota Pheasants, Inc., has been recognized by the Owatonna Education Association as the “Friend of Education” for the year 2000. The chapter was honored at the Teacher of the Year banquet Nov. 15.

The Steele County Chapter has worked with Willow Creek School for nine years creating the Willow Creek Nature Center, which provides an educational opportunity sixth grade students in which Owatonna Public School students take part.
