Jan. 20 & Feb. 10: Candlelight Snowshoe Hikes. These
immensely popular walks feature a leisurely, self-paced excursion
into the Wolf River lowland forest with departure times on
snowshoes available every quarter hour between 6:30 and 7:45 p.m.
Cost: $7.50/adult, $5/students ages 10-13, senior and Friends of
Mosquito Hill or $20 for an entire family.

Jan. 27-28: Winter Camping Made Easy. This overnight event will
introduce participants to the safe and enjoyable sport of cold
weather camping. Cost: $45/person ($40 for Friends of Mosquito
Hill) or $80 ($70 for Friends of Mosquito Hill) for two people
registering together. Call to reserve a spot.

Feb. 3-4: The Basics of Fly Tying. A hands-on fly tying class
taught by Darrell Toliver, Fox Valley area fly fishing expert,
educator and outdoor writer. Class begins Sat. at 9 a.m. and
concludes Sunday at 9 p.m. The fee of $99/person or $90 for Friends
of Mosquito Hill includes an overnight stay in a private, secluded
lodge on the Wolf River, four meals, all materials, the use of fly
tying equipment and instruction. Registration and payment are due
before Jan. 26. Call to reserve a spot.

Jan. 27: Snowshoeing Clinic. Join us for a romp through Sandhill
Wildlife Area and see if snowshoeing is right for you! We provide
the snowshoes. Sandhill Outdoor skills Center, Babcock. Register by
Jan. 19, limit 25 people ages 10 and up. Contact Wisconsin DNR at

Feb. 2-4: 15th Annual Northern Wisconsin Deer Classic and Sports
Show at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, Downtown, Eau Claire.

Mar. 3: Telescope Building Workshop at Mosquito Hill: The
Perfect Holiday Gift. The Holiday gift for the person who has
everything. Telescope making workshop and evening star party.

July 8-13: The 4th International Symposium on Sturgeon will be
