Brainerd, Minn. Over $150,000 in cash and prizes will be up for grabs when more than 14,000 anglers from more than 10 states and Canada take part in the Jan. 20, 2001, Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza on Gull Lake.

This year, at the 11th annual event, the Jaycees hope to raise
over $200,000 for charity, with about 70 percent going to the
Confidence Learning Center, a year-round outdoors-educational
facility serving people with developmental disabilities.

About 20,000 holes will be drilled in Hole in the Day Bay as
anglers compete for cash and prizes, such as a 4X4 Ford pickup, ice
augers, and more. Tickets are $30 before Jan. 1, and $35
