Southwest Minnesota Fishing Report - July 27th, 2012
FAIRMONT AREA
Look for bluegills under the docks and trees of Hall Lake and Budd Lake. The 15-foot rock humps of Budd are holding crappies, as well. Crankbaits or crawlers are working best for walleyes on Hall and South Silver Lake in eight to 14 feet. North Silver Lake is kicking out perch in two to four feet, and muskie anglers are seeing more fish on Fox Lake this week.

MANKATO AREA
Look for sunfish on Madison Lake in seven to 10 feet, and crappies on German Lake in 12 to 14 feet. The Minnesota and Blue Earth rivers are giving up catfish on bullheads or suckers, and a few walleyes via jigs and minnows. Northern pike are hitting spinnerbaits on Lake Francis, and Rattle Traps are producing walleyes along the weedlines of Lake Washington.
