New York Outdoor News editor’s spring gobbler stirs record beard debate

New York Outdoor News Editor Dan Ladd has become a diehard turkey hunter, so much so it ranks a close second to his true passion of hunting big-woods bucks in the Adirondacks. He’s just thrilled when his busy schedule allows him to be out there before sunrise, and happy to put his tag on any tom.
But a recent harvest – a double-bearded longbeard with an emphasis on “long” – has triggered a bit of debate among the turkey-hunting fraternity.
