Female hunters starting to understand impact of ‘beauty’ in woods
Companies are beginning to produce scent-free makeup and other beauty products for women who hunt
Johnna Kerres resides in the Quad Cities and has been involved with hunting and the outdoors since birth. Her dad is an avid hunter and had both his daughters climbing trees, hunting for mushrooms, and shooting a bow from the time they were toddlers. For Johnna, hunting is a family affair. Not only does she hunt with her dad – but her mom, sister, and cousin as well. Her husband also started bow hunting last year and bagged his first buck. Among being passionate about family and the outdoors, Johnna also has a love for journalism, videography, and photography. She began her career as a television news reporter and now works in the Communication Department at a local university. She hopes to provide a female perspective and encourage other women to get involved with the outdoors.
