Jenna Bretsch shot this 9 point buck her first youth deer hunt in Sauk County. She was in the woods for 30 mins when 6 bucks walked out. She picked out which one she wanted and took her shot. Successful but quick hunt.
Crossbow hunt 2018 was shaking like a leaf for him to present an ethical shot. Seemed like forever but he walked into an opening in the woods and I grunted then he stopped and the bolt was on its way. Recovery was quick and awesome!
Chris Lucey, of Arena, WI shot this 11-pointer on opening Sunday morning near Arena. It has a double brow tine and a double G2. The deer was well known by local trail camera owners as "smash face" as it appears it had run into a tree at some point in its life.
Amanda Baker, of Shiocton shot this 12 point whitetail on opening morning in Outagamie County. Her husband Marty and sons Gunner and Colt as well as her sister Katie, dad Allen, and father-in-law Martin helped with the recovery.
I shot this buck sitting on the ground up against a tree. The day before I had a 10 point come in about 40 yards away. He was standing straight on. I could have shot him in the chest but past up. He would have scored in the 160s. The next day I had this buck come in same spot but I had a broad side shot. Shot him in the heart and the arrow came out of the hind quarter on the same side the arrow went in. Figure that one out. And he didn't have any teeth. He field dressed at about 190. This deer had to be at least 7 to 9 years old.
Caden Pisczor (7 years old) harvested this 8 point buck with a 16" spread during the 2018 WI youth rifle hunt. He harvested the buck while hunting with his Dad on their Iowa County farm near Blanchardville. He used a Savage Axis .243. Nice job Caden on your first deer!
Nick Olson, of Connorsville, WI shot this 13-point buck on October 6 during the youth hunt. The buck has a 20 1/8-inch inside spread net gross score 167 5/8. Weighed 344 pounds live dressed out at 275 pounds.

10 year old Mason Spear put a great shot on this 8 point buck at 100 yards on Wednesday, November 22nd during the Wisconsin 9 day gun-deer season. He took the shot from a homemade bale blind he helped his dad, Roger, build during the summer months(blind shown in the background). Taylor Schultz, of Sheboygan, shot her first turkey, on April 15 in Trempealeau County, during youth season, while being mentored by her father. The tom was 24.1 pounds, had a 10 inch beard, and 1.125 inch spurs.
My little Bear has hunted with me ever since I was six months pregnant with him.. today was finally the day, his first opening morning that he was able to do the shooting and he made this the best opening day I've ever experienced! 5 minutes before we were going to go on break, we heard a gobble close behind us. Decided to stick it out to see if he would come in and just as we both agreed to sit longer, out came 7 Jakes! Noah instantly had the jitters.. he wasn't sure if he could do it at first but he slowly stood up, lined up his 20 gauge and dropped the first one in line! I can't explain the feeling I felt. Best opening day ever.
During the 2017 WI Youth Hunt, my son, Izaak Wellauer (age 10) and I hunted in the rain in an attempt to harvest his first wild turkey. On Saturday morning, April 15th, we had several encounters with hens and gobblers and he was able to place a great shot with his crossbow at 13 yards on this double bearded (10" and 2 1/2") limb-hanger, weighing 21 pounds and sporting 1 1/4" spurs. We never saw any lighting, but we sure heard the "THUNDER!"

Jake Sikora shot this nice 10 pointer behind his house in rural Stoddard in Vernon county the morning of November 6th. It had been fighting near Jake's stand with another smaller buck which also came into shooting range after Jake's buck expired before him.

Students from Northland College, Ashland WI, and the 38 wood duck boxes they produced this past spring. This is the second year making the wood duck boxes, with 75 made so far. Boxes are distributed to local landowners for free.
James Ethington, age 13, of Ripon, bagged this 25-pound turkey while hunting within his grandfather in Waushara County. The bird had a 10-inch beard and 1 ¼-inch spurs. This is James’ third turkey, and his biggest, since he started hunting at age 10.

I hung a stand in the rain the night before to put myself within 10 yards of this Richland County bruiser on 11-6-2013. He grosses 164 1/2-inches and net scores of 158 1/2-inches with over 40-inches of mass.
I harvested this buck Saturday morning, October 26th at 9 am. He chased off several smaller bucks with a large buck growl, and stepped right into shooting range in the process. He has 12 points, scored 150, and weighed 250 lbs field dressed.

Hunter shot his first bear on September 29, 2013 near Cornell, WI. The bear weighed 160 lbs. field dressed. The bear has two unique white spots on her chest. He spent many hours hunting and finally he was successful!!!
